What it is

The ImpactU FdT Health Impact Loans are interest-free loans of up to £60,000 to help social ventures improving health in low-resource settings scale their impact.

The loan funds a real-world pilot for communities underserved because of geographical remoteness, poverty or structural barriers to healthcare.

The loans are funded by Financière de Tubize (FdT), the reference shareholder of global biopharmaceutical company UCB, and operated by ImpactU, Oxford University Innovation’s social venture programme.

Who can apply

  • Ventures associated with a UK university, open to founders, students and researchers
  • Incorporated companies, or teams planning to incorporate within three months of being awarded the loan
  • A clear social mission written into the company’s Articles of Association

Full eligibility criteria are on the ImpactU website.
