Oxford Climate Ventures 2026

Got a climate idea and no idea what happens next? Twelve weeks to find out whether it stands up.

What it is

Twelve weeks to test whether a climate, energy transition or net-zero idea can stand up as a venture. It opens with an intensive bootcamp at Saïd Business School in November, then seven Wednesday-evening sessions through November and December, with a mentor alongside you throughout and specialist mentors for specific problems. It closes with a live pitch in January 2027 to mentors, investors and climate innovation leaders from across the Oxford network.

It's free, and it's open to anyone at Oxford with a real idea — students at any level, staff, and alumni who graduated within the last two years, applying as individuals or as teams. No business background is required. That idea might be a spinout from your research, a new venture, or expertise you want to commercialise.

Applying takes a form and a two-minute video explaining the idea — simply enough that a twelve-year-old would follow it. Applications are reviewed as they arrive until the places are filled, so apply early rather than at the deadline.

Full eligibility, selection criteria and programme detail are on the Oxford Climate Ventures programme page.
