IDEA: EDI recruitment and event planning checklists

Equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) are fundamental principles that promote fairness, representation, and equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background or identity. At IDEA (Increasing Diversity in Enterprising Activities), we have created EDI and accessibility checklists that you can use within any entrepreneurship event planning or recruitment practices. However, these are not exhaustive lists and are meant to provide small actionable steps that you can incorporate today.

While we all want to provide the best experience for every participant, we recognise that some elements are harder to control or carry out and may require more time and effort. The key is to keep moving forward, incorporating as many suggestions as possible, and working towards more equitable and accessible events. Click on the images below to take a look at further resources on each and to download your own copies.
