Wilbe × Oxford Build Week
Turning technical work into a company case that holds up.
What it is
A seven-day online cohort where scientists and engineers work through Wilbe's company-building process, get feedback, and use group office hours with Wilbe's GPs to focus on the questions that matter most for the company now. For someone just starting out, that may mean turning a research insight or technical direction into a clearer venture case. For a company already building or raising, it may mean sharpening the company story, commercial and financing priorities, and the milestones ahead. Everyone leaves with feedback, clearer next steps and a stronger company case.
Build Weeks are not demo days or hackathons — you are not expected to build a prototype in seven days. "Build" means building the company case: the problem, who needs it, why now, what makes the science matter, and what the next fundable milestone looks like. Open to scientists and engineers from the earliest exploration of an idea through to founders raising a first round; you do not need to be incorporated or fundraising. Run by Wilbe, free to take part, with no equity required. The week also gives founders and Wilbe a fast way to assess mutual fit, and investment can follow during or after it.

Submit before the cohort starts on Friday 25 September — Wilbe begins offering places from 18 September, so applying earlier means meeting a cohort with more room in it. You don't need to share confidential technical details or unpublished results to take part.
