CXO School
Who does what when research becomes a company? Eight weekly hours with the people doing it.
What it is
A practitioner-led pilot introducing researchers to the executive roles involved in turning research into impact — six CXO functions, Oxford's IP and equity process, how companies are actually run, and what the money conversation looks like. Each session is an hour: a 25-minute talk, then 20 minutes of open discussion.
It isn't only about founding a spinout. The competencies it builds strengthen research impact whichever direction you take, including a stronger grant or fellowship application. No idea needed, no business background, no need to call yourself a founder.
Full session breakdown, eligibility and registration are on the CXO School programme page.
