What is your background? What made you decide to get involved in supporting entrepreneurs?
First class degree and MBA.
Wanting to do my own thing and not be controlled by others.

What is your definition of entrepreneurship?
Someone passionate about solving one of the world's problems/needs (more effectively and efficiently than others) and someone who isn't happy just doing as they are told by others.

How and when did you know your idea was good enough to develop it?

When others (at least one) were prepared to pay for it.

What would you say are the top 3 skills that needed to be a successful entrepreneur? Why?
Resilience: To bounce back from setbacks.
Persistence: To learn from them and get better.
Curiosity: To keep understanding better the needs and feedback from investors, customers, staff, suppliers and other stakeholders to better understand the opportunities.

What is your favourite part of being an entrepreneur?
Making things happen.

What individual, company or organization inspires you most? Why?
MD2MD - I work with a number of operational business leaders passionate about their business, their product/service, their staff and their customers.

What has been your most satisfying or successful moment in business?
Pivoting the business to take an opportunity successfully during Covid.

What would you say have been some of your mistakes, failures or lessons learned as an entrepreneur?
Not raising funds to invest in faster growth.

How have you funded your ideas?
Own and self generated funds.

Great people, inspiring city and countryside, thought provoking culture.
