EnSpire Idea Lab

A one-day Oxford bootcamp turning early-stage ideas into structured, testable business plans using the Lean Canvas. No experience needed.

Delivered by EnSpire Oxford, the University of Oxford's entrepreneurship hub.

Programme Overview

EnSpire Idea Lab helps members of the University of Oxford community turn early-stage ideas into structured, testable business plans using practical entrepreneurial tools such as the Lean Canvas.

Participants pre-register for a one-day, in-person bootcamp and progress through practical, facilitator-led sessions covering problem definition, customer discovery, value proposition, minimum viable solutions, routes to market, financial planning and pitching. Through interactive exercises, rapid market research and peer feedback, they develop and refine a Lean Canvas and finish the day with a more structured business model, a clearer pitch and defined next steps for progressing their idea.

EnSpire Idea Lab is open to the University of Oxford community, including undergraduate students, postgraduates and DPhils, researchers and staff and alumni.

No prior experience or business background is required.

EnSpire Idea Lab is open access, with pre-registration required. Places are limited and available to University of Oxford undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers, staff, and alumni within two years of graduation. No interview or invitation is required.
