Edge Challenges

A multi-week programme that empowers students to tackle real-world challenges set by industry partners, collaborate across disciplines, and develop innovative solutions with meaningful impact.

Delivered by Oxford Edge, with EnSpire Oxford.

Programme Overview

Challenges gives students the opportunity to tackle complex, real-world challenges, collaborate across disciplines, and develop innovative solutions with the potential for meaningful impact.

Students apply and, once selected, are introduced to ambitious challenge problems provided by industry partners across thematic areas such as quantum, AI, life sciences, deep tech, creative industries and social impact.

Participants form interdisciplinary teams and apply their research expertise to develop innovative solutions, supported by ongoing mentoring from industry throughout. By the end, teams are expected to deliver a tangible outcome, such as a solution architecture, proof of concept, or minimum viable product.
