Programme Overview

Venture Capital Lab trains and equips University of Oxford students with venture capital knowledge and skills, preparing them for careers in venture investing.

Participants progress through a two-week experiential learning journey designed to build the foundations for a career in venture capital. The programme combines interactive workshops, real-world investment exercises, peer collaboration and self-reflection. Students learn how to source and evaluate startups, assess founders, and write investment memos using live company case studies and authentic investment scenarios. As the programme progresses, concepts build in complexity, enabling participants to apply their learning in increasingly practical contexts while collaborating with peers from diverse academic backgrounds. The journey concludes with reflective activities that help participants articulate their career aspirations and understand how venture capital aligns with their professional goals.
